Publishing activity

The Observatory publishes:

• The journal "Astrophysical Bulletin"
  "Astrophysical Bulletin" is an updated version of the journals which SAO RAS published earlier as "Bulletin of the Special Astrophysical Observatory" (1993-2007, vol. 35-61) and "Astrophysical Research" (1970-1992, vol. 1-34).

  Since 2007 the English version of "Astrophysical Bulletin" is published by the International Academic Publishing Company (IAPC) "Nauka/Interperiodika" and distributed by subscription by the Pleiades Group department of the publishing house Springer on-line and as hard-copies.
  The journal is published quarterly.
  To submit a paper for publication in Astrophysical Bulletin, an author should send the electronic manuscript to:

  Instructions to authors of "Astrophysical Bulletin".
  Information for authors whose papers contains big tabular data. Your tables from papers, published in the "Astrophysical Bulletin" can be uploaded into the VizieR database for world-wide access and adjoining IVOA (Intrenational Virtual Observatory Alliance). The rules for authors with formed specifications are given on CDS website in "catalogue submiision" section. Copy of this description is given here.
  The Russian version of "Astrophysical Bulletin" is available on-line at our site.

  Conference Proceedings

  SAO Reports
  are published since 1993 (in Russian and English). The on-line version is available since 2001.

  Preprints
  are published in English and Russian.
  Since 2005 the preprints are issued only on-line. The full texts of preprints are available since 2004 (Nizhnij Arkhyz).

  The preprints are formatted in LaTeX with the style file sao1.sty. See the manual sao1man.ps (the source is sao1man.tex). You can get our style files and descriptions to them from the FTP archive.
