1972AcA....22..227Maslowski;
The GB survey at 1400 MHz
NOTE: only RA, DEC, total and peak flux and extension codes were
received in electronic form.
The IAUname was INFERRED from the coordinates using the same procedure
as in the original publication (i.e. the last digit in declination is
the NEAREST tenths of degrees, rather than rounding to the NEXT LOWER
tenth of degrees). Note that this procedure is against IAU recommendations,
but according to a stronger IAU recommendation (saying that published names
should never be changed) I retained the incorrect original naming system
in the present electronic version of the catalog.
Note also that the original catalog had the source declination
in the format +dd mm.m, which was converted to +dd mm ss here.
1978AcA....28..367Machalski;
The GB2 survey of extragalactic sources at 1400 MHz
The IAUname was INFERRED from the coordinates using the same procedure
as in the original publication. This procedure caused inconsistencies
for 23 sources (e.g. 0714+371 at 071410+3712.0). Following
an IAU recommendation that published names should never be changed I used
the incorrect original names in the present electronic version of the catalog.
These few sources are marked here with an asterisk appended to its name.
Note that the errata as printed in the original publication are corrected
here. Note also that the original catalog had the source declination
in the format +dd mm.m, which was converted to +dd mm ss here.
NOTE: only RA, DEC, total and peak flux and extension codes were
received in electronic form.
Brackets around fluxes and sp.indices were replaced by a colon ':' AFTER
the value
